Volunteer Opportunities

ENRYCH Volunteers are people who have chosen to give willingly of their time to work with the charity to support people with a physical disability (ENRYCH Members).

Volunteering can be such a rewarding experience. ENRYCH currently works with over 500 volunteers across 7 counties of England. Many volunteers have been working with the organisation for years, whilst others are new and are beginning to realise just how wonderful it is to make a positive difference to someone's life.

If you are new to the idea of volunteering, it can often seem quite daunting, but don't worry. We aren't looking for superheroes or superstars! We're looking for every day folk who might have a few free hours each week to share an interest with someone else. That hobby you've had for years might be just the thing that someone else is looking for!

ENRYCH asks that volunteers be able to commit a few hours a week for a period of time. These hours will be agreed between you and the ENRYCH Member, meaning that the partnership can work at a time that suits you both. Asking volunteers to commit for a period of time means that the member has the opportunity to build their skills, knowledge and confidence, and can build a successful relationship with their volunteer. Relationships are important, and are the cornerstone of success.

If you have read this, and might be interested, please contact us through our local branches. ENRYCH works with adults with a physical disability and adds colour to life. You never know... volunteering might actually add some unexpected colour to yours too!!

Do you love Word Games?

Polly has now lost the power of speech due to a series of mini strokes but she still has a love of word games (and a wicked sense of humour). She now communicates with a keyboard and would love a new volunteer.
