Enrych wins £1,000 Movement for Good award

Enrych has won a £1,000 Movement for Good award thanks to nominations from the public.

Enrych is one of 500 winners in specialist insurer Ecclesiastical's Movement for Good awards, which is giving £1million to charities this summer.

The aim of Enrych is to reduce isolation and prevent loneliness for adults with disabilities – a challenge for everyone at this unprecedented of times.  This money is really important for Enrych, now more than ever, as it will enable the charity to offer additionally opportunities to those it serves to ensure they can stay engaged with its services and reduce the risk of isolation at this time.

Members of the public were invited to nominate causes close to their hearts, with 500 gifts of £1,000 available for donation. 13,695 charities were nominated by an amazing 253,879 members of the public.

Liz Rickaby, Chief Executive of Enrych, said: 

“There are so many amazing charities providing vital services, particularly at this challenging time, so we are absolutely delighted to have been nominated for this award.    This funding is going to make a real difference to those we serve and we would like to thank everyone who nominated us for this award.    We support over 500 adults living with disabilities enabling them to live independently and reducing the risk of loneliness and isolation.    We’ve had to adapt the way in which we work to ensure people can continue to receive vital support at this time when isolation has had an impact on every one of us.  We’re looking forward to starting to reintroduce some of our additional face to face services and this money will help fund these so that we can continue to make personalised and valuable support available to every adult living with a disability”.
