Sam takes on the Zoom Coffee Morning session

As we all see restrictions being lifted it has been important for Enrych to reflect on how people are feeling about being back out in the community.

The Feel Good Cafe was opened back in May when restrictions were first lifted and the cafe was very well attended, those coming along were pleased to be back out meeting people and felt comfortable being in a covid-free setting.

Bev Cowley, Head of Community Development said "We have been very cautious about opening up our different face to face sessions as some people we support are not ready and still feel very anxious about mixing in groups," Bev went on "The Feel Good Cafe and the Outdoor Boot Camp were the first two sessions to start and both have been extremely successful but it has been important to keep a few online sessions running too to esnure that everyone has some support".

The virtual coffee morning has run throughout the several lockdowns and people have enjoyed having the chance to see familiar faces and have a chat about what is going in on their lives. Sam who first joined the session as a visitor appreciated how important the session was that he now hosts it himself and thoroughly enjoys doing so.

Sam said "Being offered the opportunity to work with Enrych has enabled me to become much more confident, I love interacting with all the different people I am coming into contact with and I appreciate how important the virtual coffee morning has become to some people" Sam explained "It has been a difficult time for everyone and we are not all ready to simply return to normal, having an online weekly get together enables people to air their concerns and mentally prepare themselves for the next step getting back in the community."

The virtual coffee morning will continue to run alongside the range of other activities on offer. See /activities-groups/ for more information.
