Enrych Goes Wild with Nature

Everyone is talking about nature’s healing powers and it's a proven fact that the wonder and beauty of nature has many benefits on our general and mental health and wellbeing.

Enrych are hosting a nature therapy session in partnership with Wildminds to empower people to enjoy a new connection with nature and try activities such as T'as chi, nature art, meditation and forest bathing.

The session will take place at a local country park, Moira Furnace where there is an ancient woodland which provides the perfect environment to instil peace and calm if only for a couple of hours.

Bev Cowley, Head of Community Development explained "Being awarded the NHS Charities Together funding is enabling us to explore brand new initiatives to engage with even more vulnerable adults in the community," Bev added "So many people are feeling anxious right now but we hope that being able to enjoy activities like this in the outdoors, people will feel safe and relaxed and enable them to reconect with nature". Bev went on "We are hoping that those who come along learn some new skills to deal with any anxiety and stress in their daily lives and more than anything we want them to enjoy the whole experience".

Researchers are amassing a body of evidence, proving what we all know to be true: nature is good for us and has both long and short term mental and physical health benefits. Studies have shown that access to trees and green spaces calm us and help to alleviate stress. One such study found that trees and green space are a major predictor of longevity.

The session will run on 18th August from 10.30am - 12.30pm. Spaces are limited and need to be booked by calling 01530 832926 or by emailing here
