Nature Conservation - The Enrych & TCV Partnership

Enrych could not think of a better way to celebrate Nature Conservation Day than sharing the success of their fabulous partnership with The Conservation Volunteers on a gardening project at the Measham Millenium Garden on Wilkes Avenue in Measham where volunteers have worked hard to give the overgrown garden a make over.

After months of hard work, nurturing and lots of fun and laughter the garden is now taking shape and some of the plants which have been grown from seed over lockdown are flowering and attracting wildlife.

Bev Cowley, Head of Community Development said "This is a wonderful project and we are privileged to be working with The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) and being able to glean some of their knowledge about conservation, wildlife and nature, some of the people we support are coming along with their PAs and really enjoying their time at the garden" Bev explained "With projects like this local people can benefit from being outdoors, keeping active and socialising with other people which has been so very important for those who have become isolated after many months of lockdown".

The garden session runs every Thursday from 10am - 2pm. Everyone is welcome and can just turn up at the site.
