Enrych Appeal For Volunteers

Enrych are appealing for volunteers to offer their time and support to adults living with disabilities in the local communities.

Enrych have supported adults living with disabilities, poor mental health and in particular those who are socially isolated for 35 years. Enrych offer a range of services including a one-to-one PA support Service and a Digital Inclusion Service as well as a range of online support sessions.

The Volunteer Befriending Service enables them to enjoy leisure and learning activities of their choice through a network of amazing volunteers who can phone or visit every now and again. At the moment we are looking for volunteers who enjoy a range of interests and would could consider supporting someone with activities such as gardening, walking, bowling, going to the cinema or out for a coffee, supporting groups and events as well as supporting with reading and writing and outdoor activities.

Laura Barratt, Community Partnership Co-ordinator said "there are so many vulnerable adults in our community looking for support every now and again" Laura added "So many people have become so very isolated during the pandemic and it would be great to arrange some new partnerships to enable them to access the community again or enjoy some occasional company at home"

All Enrych volunteers are DBS checked to an enhanced level and most of our volunteer partnerships evolve to become strong friendships, making them pretty special for both those we support and our volunteers who support them.
