Enrych partners with LCFC

Last week saw Enrych take two teams to the Leicester City Football Community Hub in New Parks for a freindly football tournament against their own inclusive teams.

The weather was not great and the teams were faced with cold, windy and at times very wet weather but this did not dampen their spirits at all.

Karl Davies, Social Activities Lead said "It was a brilliant day, everyone had a great time and the most important thing was that there were no expectations as far as ability was concerned, everyone came to have fun and have a kick about, the fact that we won the tournament was a bonus!".

The games lasted just 10 minutes long with team players given the opportunity to show off their skills or just have a good time and a giggle.

Bev Cowley, Head of Community Development said "Our partnership with Leicester City In The Community is incredibly important, it gives us opportunities to work with the coaches there and arrange sessions like today." Bev added "Our teams have had a brilliant time, they all love football and whether that is playing it, supporting it or simply watching it onTV it doesn't matter. Enrych hosts a wide range of inclusive activities and it is never about how good someone is at something, it is about taking part and being included"

Most of the inclusive activities offered by Enrych have been supported by NHS Charities Together through local NHS Charities Leicester Hospitals Charity, Raising Health (Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust) and the East Midlands Ambulance Charitable Fund. More details can be found here.
