Beckie
Recruitment & Retention Co-Ordinator
I started my journey with Enrych by volunteering at the Garendon Gallop 2024, helping Liz, our previous CEO, on a stall. I then decided I wanted to help people get back into the world, so I applied for a support worker role. But Liz had seen a spark in me and, before my interview, asked if I’d be interested in a new role they were creating: Fundraising Coordinator alongside being a support worker! Of course, I said yes! I had experience as Chair of the PTA at my son’s school, and I knew I could make a difference at Enrych.
I never expected just how much working for Enrych would change my world too. Watching someone go from being stuck indoors to getting out, smiling more, and taking care of themselves, it’s incredible. Every single session felt rewarding. That’s when I knew this was more than just a job.
I’ve recently stepped into the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator role too (yes, still wearing all the hats!). But for me, it always comes back to people. I want to raise as much money as I can because our work matters. I want to retain the amazing support workers we already have and make sure the right new people join our team. I hope I’m someone people feel they can come to because I’m a people person through and through.
The truth is, Enrych has been around for nearly 40 years, quietly doing life-changing work and not enough people know about us. That’s why I’m here: to shout from the rooftops that this charity is full of purpose, passion, and potential. And most of all, to celebrate the clients, support workers, and team that make Enrych so special!
