The Leg Up Lounge - Wellbeing Workshop
Kev merges academic insight with frontline experience to foster resilient individuals and communities. A former Royal Marines Commando with a First-Class degree in Education, and 20+ years specialising in motivation, wellbeing, and managing behaviour, he delivers pivotal courses that build sustained wellbeing. His signature blended methodology—combining classroom learning with outdoor application—creates a powerful self-care package. This approach is realised through his community interest company, The Leg Up Project, which has earned national recognition as a Changemaker finalist in the Head Outside Awards and as a BBC Make a Difference Award winner in 2025. A qualified Mountain Leader, author, and father of two, Kev’s work is guided by a humble professionalism, focused on giving others the tools to flourish.
These one-hour weekly Wellbeing Workshops are delivered at The Marlene Reid Centre; they cover the following areas with a new topic each week. The session is relaxed and starts with a coffee and chat, then a personal assessment and leading on to practical tips that you can immediately apply to make a start on improving your overall health and happiness.
