1. Performance and Wellbeing Workshop
Tuesday 14/10/25 1pm - 2pm
Workshop Description: Survive to flourish immediately gets you started by making you aware of simple actions you can take to improve the moment, using breathing techniques to regulate emotions, staying hydrated, and practicing gratitude, to name a few. You can also use this system to identify areas for development and start to implement positive change by ‘nailing down’ the basics that so many of us forget.
The wheel of life will help you to define broad objectives to achieve throughout the course and assist in guiding you to keep balance in your life. This simple tool is there to use if you ever feel like you may be losing focus or getting fixated on a goal at the detriment to other important parts of your life.
A wellbeing action plan is a great way to remind yourself of what works for you! It can also help you to stay accountable for the positive changes you wish to make.

Tuesday 28/10/25 1pm - 2pm
Workshop Description: The sole focus of this module is to raise your awareness of the basics (Stress management – Sleep improvement – Nutritional balance – Physical training) and to broaden your strategies to maintain good mental and physical health.
We’ll take a deeper look at the importance of all four areas and offers broader knowledge to apply to our overall personal goals, with a view to raising performance in all aspects of life.
4. Subjective Wellbeing / Making Positive Change Workshop
Tuesday 04/11/25 1pm - 2pm
Workshop Description: Subjective wellbeing is our personal view at how happy we are with our lot in life; it’s our self-reported level of life satisfaction. We’ll look at how philosophers and psychologists have tried to underpin what it is that makes us happy and discuss theories that will not only make you take a good look at how you live but also give you some strategies and tips on which areas need to be developed to increase wellbeing.
5. Communication / Conflict Management Workshop
Tuesday 11/11/25 1pm - 2pm
Workshop Description: Good communication is vital to maintain a high level of personal wellbeing, and although we cannot always choose the people in our lives, we can always seek to improve our part in building healthy relationships and maximising the time we spend with others.
This module gives insights into how to assert yourself without aggression and to empathise with others without being condescending or defensive. There are also two de-escalation models to reflect on that may well help you avoid a potentially disastrous situation developing.
6. Self-Awareness / Self-Management Workshop
Tuesday 18/11/25 1pm - 2pm
Workshop Description: In this session we will be exploring ourselves, it's a good place to start as we should look to what WE can improve on rather than forcing change on those around us to make us feel comfortable.
Self-Awareness concerns knowing one’s internal states, our preferences, resources, impulses and intuitions; self-management refers to how we manage them.
Can we recognise our own emotions and what effect does this have on us? Do we know our strengths and limits? What do we truly think of our self? What are we capable of achieving?
We will be asking these tough questions and looking at other competencies to consider when developing our emotional intelligence.
7. Social Awareness / Relationship Management Workshop
Tuesday 25/11/25 1pm - 2pm
Workshop Description: Social awareness refers to how we handle relationships and our awareness of others’ feelings, needs, and concerns. We will look at empathy, our ability to read emotional currents and power shifts in groups, along with anticipating recognizing and meeting individuals’ needs.
Relationship Management concerns the skill or adeptness at inducing desirable responses in others. Developing others, inspirational leadership, managing change, effective tactics for persuasion, conflict management and creating strong teams will be delved into and discussed in this workshop.
8. Building Resilience / Managing Emotions Workshop
Tuesday 02/12/25 1pm - 2pm
Workshop Description: Loosely defined, resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties, toughness. But in reality, it is very complex . We will be looking at four internal human characteristics that allow us to identify areas for development and some of the broader dimensions of resilience that make up this multi-dimensional construct.
Managing emotions is a huge component of building resilience. We will be looking at understanding emotions, how to process them, why we often have conflicts about our feelings, and why suppressing them may not be for the best, long term.
9. Motivation / Managing Expectations Workshop
Tuesday 09/12/25 1pm - 2pm
Workshop Description: Motivation is something that many of us wish we had more of, however, having a deeper understanding of the concept of motivation really helps us to identify why we sometimes lose, or lack, the drive that we wish we had. A look at a couple of motivational theories will hugely change your perspective and give you areas for development.
Our expectations directly affect our motivation, so it makes sense to look at strategies and characteristics that impact on our overall wellbeing. How we judge ourselves, how we may be holding ourselves, and others back, and how we can reframe our perspectives to get the most positive outcomes.
10. Building Courage / Developing a Growth Mindset Workshop
Tuesday 16/12/25 1pm - 2pm
Workshop Description: Psychologist and hope researcher Charles Snyder uses the terms willpower (your motivation to keep trying) and way power (ability to find new pathways to reach a goal) and says: hope is the sum of the mental willpower and way power you have for your goals.'
Positive thinking, planning and preparation, along with having a good support network, can all impact upon our levels of confidence and courage to make positive lasting change.
Developing a growth mindset is about understanding that we have the means to improve, whether that be for a specific skill or task or for our overall wellbeing mentally and physically. So many of us sabotage our full potential with a fixed mindset telling ourselves we cannot do it!
In this final session we will be pulling together all the topics and identify what personal changes we will be taking into our future to take control of the controllable elements of our life.
