Dementia Support for Individuals and Carers: Margaret and John’s Story
For Alzheimer’s Awareness Month 2026, we’re sharing the story of Margaret and John, a couple navigating life after Margaret’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
As Margaret’s needs have changed, her husband John has found himself taking on more responsibility as her main carer. While he wants to support his wife, balancing caring with everyday life can be challenging, and it’s important that he has support too.
Through Enrych, Margaret receives personalised one-to-one support that helps her remain active, independent and connected. Her support can include:

💙 Support to maintain routines and take part in activities she enjoys

This support also gives John valuable respite and reassurance. Knowing Margaret has someone trusted supporting her means he can take time to rest, see friends or simply have some time for himself.
For Margaret, Enrych helps her continue to stay safe and happy in her regular routine. For John, it means knowing he doesn’t have to manage everything alone.
Margaret and John are a hypothetical example, created to demonstrate the ways Enrych can support people living with Alzheimer’s and their families. However, the challenges described are very real, and Enrych supports many people and their families living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other conditions.
