Making a Difference Through Volunteering: Barry’s Enrych Story

Barry has spent a lifetime volunteering. From helping at school as a young boy, to supporting charities through the RAF, Coalville Round Table, local community groups, and fundraising initiatives, he has dedicated decades to helping others.

Today, Barry volunteers at our Feel Good Café every Tuesday morning. His connection to Enrych is a particularly special one. Barry and his late wife, Betty, attended the café together when Betty was receiving support from Enrych. Following Betty's passing, Barry chose to continue coming along as a volunteer, helping to create the same warm, welcoming atmosphere that meant so much to them both.

When asked why he volunteers, Barry said:

"I like to think I make a difference in people's lives in the nicest possible way, and try to bring happiness and good cheer to all. This town gave me a comfortable living and I feel I should use my experience to put something worthwhile back into the community."
